Jogakbo Silk Wall Hanging Design B
OPTION: Design B
Design B
HANDMADE IN BUSAN · CARRIED BY ONDO IN CANADA
Yuree hand-sews every silk piece in Busan, using jogakbo techniques carried through Korean textile tradition. Newly carried by Ondo — stocked here in Canada from day one.
The same offcuts, pieced by hand, will never fall in quite the same order twice.
The Wall Hanging
The same jogakbo method as the table cover, joined here into a hanging piece instead of a flat one, strung on a wood dowel rather than folded away. Each panel is placed by hand, so Design A and Design B exist as a single object each — no second piece falls the same way.
- Material: Oksa silk, hand-pieced jogakbo patchwork
- Size: Cloth 30 × 40 cm · Wood dowel 40 cm (11 mm diameter) · Hanging cord approx. 10 cm
- Hand-pieced, so each piece may vary by about 1 cm
- Design A or Design B — one piece of each, no two alike
- Hand-pieced in small batches by Yuree, Busan
Care
Frequent washing is not recommended. Press with a warm iron if creased. Spot-clean marks with a mild detergent and a soft brush, then dry in sunlight.
On the silk
Slubs and small thread clusters are characteristic of oksa silk — part of how the yarn is spun, not a flaw.
