A canopy of pieced silk above a slender band, turning on a thread, catching light rather than holding still. A freshwater pearl rests at its crown. White, jade, or undyed, each turn brings a different one forward.
The Mobile
Oksa is a sheer, plain-weave silk once cut for hanbok worn through Korea's warmer months, light enough to move on its own air. Yuree, a silk studio in Busan, pieces it by hand in the jogakbo tradition, stitch by stitch, and finishes each motif with a natural freshwater pearl. Made to turn on a window draft, not a motor.
- Material: Oksa silk, hand-pieced (jogakbo), with a natural freshwater pearl
- Size: 38 cm overall (up to 53 cm with cord); motif 6 by 6 by 3 cm; cord adjustable 17 to 32 cm
- Available in White, Jade, and Natural
- 100% handmade in small batches by Yuree, Busan (slight variation per piece)
carried by Ondo.
