UNJO Mansion Moon Jar Candle — Early Access

The first ones are on their way from Seoul.

A moon jar is thrown in two halves and joined at the waist, which is why the old ones lean a little — the seam never sits perfectly straight, and nobody in four hundred years has considered that a flaw. UNJO MANSION makes that shape in wax. Each one is formed by hand in a small studio outside Seoul, so no two hold exactly the same curve.

They come in quiet, mineral colours: Moonlight White, Namsan Green, Silver Grey, Black Cloud, Aqua Celadon, and a set of three miniatures. The wick sits in the neck where the mouth of the jar would be. When the wax burns down, the jar stays — which is the part that made us want them. You are not buying something that disappears.

No shop in Canada carries UNJO MANSION. We are the first, and this first run is small — it is what two people could make by hand in the time we had. There is no second shipment scheduled.
